In solo, recognition stays on your device. In a duel, the video is sent live and encrypted to your opponent, possibly through our relay. Aura Arena doesn’t record it on its servers and never uses the microphone. Your opponent can still use their own device to capture what they see.
If you leave the option on, your phone films only your own camera during the duel to prepare a short video with the score, the animations and the game sounds, with no microphone. Your opponent’s video isn’t in it: they appear by name and score. This video is created and kept on your phone; Aura Arena never receives it. It’s deleted when you leave the result screen, unless you choose to save it to Photos or share it with the app of your choice. You can turn the option off in the app settings.
We keep your handle, your nickname, your bio, a protected derivative of your password if you use one, your sessions, your friend relationships, your confirmed moves as counters, your computed signature move, your results and your ranking. The email address you provide and verify stays private and is used to recover your account. Account emails are sent through Gmail (Google), which processes the recipient address and the content of the message. Your Aura Arena password is never sent by email. This data is used to provide the game and the account. Your public profile and results are visible to other players; your local photo is not sent.
If you choose Apple or Google, that provider verifies your identity. We keep its account identifier and, if it is provided and verified, your private email address. We don’t receive your Apple or Google password, your photo or your contacts. The tokens needed to remove this connection are encrypted on the server. When the account is deleted, they are kept only as long as it takes to revoke the connection with the provider, then erased.
Reports contain the identifiers of the accounts involved, the reason, the date and, where relevant, the duel identifier. No image, video or attachment is accepted. They are available to the operator to review abuse. Network addresses are processed to establish connections and limit abuse.
Account data is kept until the account is deleted. Results are then anonymized; email addresses, sessions, relationships and recovery codes are erased. Codes sent by email expire after 10 minutes and are purged at the latest during the next hourly cleanup. Reports and moderation decisions are kept for 90 days at most; a suspension stays active until it is reviewed or lifted. Daily backups are kept for seven days on the server; encrypted copies may be kept off the server by the publisher. A restore must reapply the deletions made since the backup.
You can request access, correction or deletion from support. Deletion is also available in the app and on this page. You can contact the competent data protection authority, in particular the CNIL in France.
The service is hosted by Oracle Cloud in France (Paris). No advertising or audience analytics tool is added by Aura Arena.
